Washington, D.C. -Â Continuing his rampant few days of pardoning everyone under the Sun who most people would love to drop a right-hook on, President Trump today announced that he was posthumously pardoning his long-time friend Hans Gruber over the 1988 Nakatomi Plaza incident.
Today marks the 32nd anniversary of the incident, in which it saw a 6-hour hostage situation allegedly led by Gruber, which saw the building engulfed in gunfire and explosions for the duration. At least ten people died in the incident, including Gruber who reportedly fell from the 30th floor.
Trump has allegedly long-held the belief that Gruber wasn’t completely to blame for the indecent, and has apparently stated in private that he believes there “were good people on both sides”. Today’s pardon clearly furthers that theory.
As was the case with all the other pardons, the president declined to comment on the decision.
